What Is Self Flowing Casting Material

Self flowing castable is a castable refractory material that can flow and degas without vibration (see refractory castable). Its characteristic is that it can be poured into various shapes without reducing or significantly reducing the performance of the castable, by adding water appropriately and without vibration. Self flowing castables are particularly suitable for use in thin-walled or complex shaped areas that cannot be formed by vibration.
The composition of self flowing castables is developed based on low cement and ultra-low cement castables. It is composed of refractory aggregates, powders, and high-efficiency dispersants with a certain particle size distribution. The key is the reasonable use of ultrafine powder particle size, quantity, and high-efficiency dispersants to enable the castable to achieve self flow and automatic spreading.
