Types of Tundish Castable

Tundish Covering Castable
Lightweight and heavyweight castables for tundish cover can be configured according to customer requirements. They have the characteristics of good thermal insulation performance, high strength, no peeling, not easy to deform and long service life. They can be cast on site or prefabricated according to customer requirements.
Magnesium Calcium Tundish Dry Vibrating Material
Dry vibrating material is an amorphous refractory material formed by vibration without adding water or liquid binder. Under the action of vibration, the material can form a dense and uniform whole, and when heated, it is strengthened by thermosetting binder or ceramic sintering agent. Dry vibrating material is composed of refractory aggregate, powder, binder, sintering agent and additives.
Tundish Magnesia Castable
Magnesium coating for tundish is an amorphous refractory material that is applied manually or mechanically to the surface of other refractory materials. It is composed of refractory aggregates and powders with a certain particle size distribution, appropriate binders, additives (such as accelerators, plasticizers, expanders, etc.), and is mixed with water or other liquid binders.
Tundish Magnesium Calcium Coating
The tundish magnesia-calcium coating is made of brick-making magnesia and has low porosity, high flexural strength at room temperature, but poor corrosion resistance; while the coating made of fused magnesia has low flexural strength at room temperature and corrosion resistance.
Tundish Permanent Layer Castable
Tundish permanent layer castables are an important component of the refractory material of the tundish. Although they are not the working layer and do not directly contact the molten steel, their use environment is still relatively harsh. The temperature of the tundish rises sharply when it is baked and receives molten steel, and the temperature drops rapidly after the continuous casting is completed and the tundish is turned over.
