      Lightweight mullite bricks are high-alumina refractory materials with mullite as the main crystalline phase, typically containing 65%–75% Al₂O₃. In addition to mullite, products with lower alumina content may also contain small amounts of glass phase and cristobalite, while those with higher alumina content may contain small amounts of corundum.

      They are mainly used in hot blast stove roofs, blast furnace walls and bottoms, glass melting furnace regenerators, ceramic sintering kilns, and dead-zone linings in petroleum cracking systems.

      Lightweight mullite bricks feature low thermal conductivity and low heat capacity, high purity with low impurity content, and excellent high-temperature resistance, allowing direct exposure to flames. They also offer high strength, outstanding thermal shock resistance, precise dimensions, and can be easily cut and processed as required.

      Lightweight mullite bricks have high refractoriness, exceeding 1790 °C. Their refractoriness under load ranges from 1600–1700 °C, and their compressive strength at room temperature is 70–260 MPa. They also offer excellent thermal shock resistance.
