Lightweight corundum mullite bricks are produced by mixing white corundum, fused mullite, and a loss-on-ignition agent in a specific ratio, followed by molding and high-temperature firing. They have high refractoriness, exceeding 1790 °C. Their refractoriness under load is 1600–1700 °C, and their compressive strength at room temperature is 70–260 MPa. They also offer good thermal shock resistance.

With a high alumina content and an optimized raw material ratio and production process, lightweight corundum mullite bricks provide excellent refractoriness and high compressive strength. Compared with ordinary lightweight high-alumina bricks, they offer better refractoriness, structural stability, and longer service life. Compared with lightweight mullite bricks, they provide higher high-temperature strength and are more suitable for furnace parts that require high structural reliability.
