Mullite refractory clay is an important refractory material. Its main components include high-purity refractory clay and alumina. It is made by adding an appropriate amount of organic filler. It has evenly distributed tiny pores inside, which can effectively reduce the heat energy lost by the furnace wall, thereby reducing the cost of fuel. It is widely used in high-temperature industrial environments. The refractory temperature range of mullite refractory clay is 1580～1770℃. It has good thermal stability and refractoriness. It is suitable for masonry blast furnaces, hot blast furnaces, soaking furnaces, annealing furnaces, boilers, steel casting systems and other thermal equipment.

Description

Mullite refractory mortar is a new type of inorganic bonding material made by adding inorganic binder to mullite powder of the same material according to the material of the bricks to be laid and the requirements of the use temperature. It is divided into four grades of 1300, 1400, 1500 and 1700. Mullite refractory mortar is suitable for kiln masonry that requires small mortar joints, good sealing and high bonding strength.

1. The low mortar joint of the furnace built with mullite refractory mortar is 0.5mm, and the general mortar joint is 3-5mm. This can solve the problem of fine grinding of refractory bricks on the brick grinding machine, which is beneficial to the health of workers, saves labor in operation and masonry, and at the same time ensures quality and speeds up the construction progress.

2. When repairing the furnace, if the crack is too large, 2-3mm refractory particles can be appropriately added to the mullite refractory mortar, mixed and used to fill the gaps, shorten the repair time, and ensure normal production.

3. Mullite refractory mortar can be applied to various furnace bodies. Before applying, there should be no dust or debris on the surface of the furnace body. Especially when constructing on old furnaces, slag wax and other dirt should be removed.

4. Mullite refractory mortar can be applied manually or mechanically, with a general thickness of 2-3mm. It cannot be constructed due to being too dry during use. It can be mixed with water in an appropriate amount.

5.Mullite refractory mortar must be strictly prevented from mixing with other materials, especially cement, lime and other items.
