Key Points Of Construction Technology For Refractory Castables

The main technical points for the construction of refractory castables include:
(1) During construction, the mix proportion of refractory castables should not be arbitrarily changed, and water or other materials should not be added to the mixed refractory castables at will;
(2) The formwork used for pouring should have sufficient strength and rigidity, accurate formwork dimensions, and prevent deformation during construction;
(3) The joints of the template should be tight and not leak grout, and anti sticking measures should be taken for the template;
(4) Waterproof measures should be taken on the surface of the insulation masonry in contact with the pouring material;
(5) The pouring of refractory castables should be carried out continuously. Before the previous layer of castables sets, the second layer of castables should be poured completely. If the interval exceeds the setting time, it should be treated according to the construction joint requirements. Construction joints should be left on the centerline of the same row of anchor bricks;
(6) After construction, refractory castables should be cured according to the specified methods in the design, and should not be subjected to external forces or vibrations during the curing period.
