High Strength and Wear-resistant Castable

High-strength wear-resistant castable has the characteristics of high strength, good low-temperature performance, high medium-temperature bonding strength, stable volume, low thermal conductivity, strong resistance to slag penetration, erosion resistance, convenient construction, and strong overall furnace structure. It is currently an ideal wear-resistant material for furnace linings. Compared with traditional castables, high-strength wear-resistant castables have high strength, impact resistance, mechanical wear resistance and low-temperature high-speed airflow erosion. It is widely used in gas suspension roasting furnaces, oil refining catalytic cracking equipment, cyclone separators, fluidized bed boilers, and pipelines containing medium and high-speed airflow erosion.

High-strength wear-resistant castable is composed of special high-alumina bauxite, silicon carbide, corundum powder, high-alumina powder, and high-strength binder. Sintered high-alumina bauxite and fused corundum are prepared, some with black silicon carbide, and the binder is high-purity calcium aluminate cement plus silicon oxide powder. The aluminum content of high-strength wear-resistant refractory castables used in circulating fluidized bed boilers in power plants is very high, generally above 70%, and the maximum operating temperature reaches 1500.

Generally, high-strength wear-resistant refractory castables for alumina suspension roasting furnaces have similar physical and chemical performance requirements to those of wear-resistant refractory castables for circulating fluidized bed boilers, but silicon carbide is not added to the ingredients.

High-strength wear-resistant refractory castables are used in oil refining catalytic cracking units: fused or sintered white corundum is used as aggregate, high-purity calcium aluminate cement plus reactive alumina is used as a binder, and the Fe2O3 content in the castable is required to be less than 0.05%.

 

 

The steel spout of the heating furnace uses high-strength wear-resistant refractory castables: fused corundum (brown corundum or sub-white corundum) is used as aggregate, and the powder is composed of fused corundum powder, α-AL2O3 powder, SiO2 powder, Cr2O3 powder (or zircon powder) and pure calcium aluminate cement.
