Fire Resistant Spray Coating

Fire Resistant Spray Coating

Fire-resistant spray coating is made of clay clinker as raw material, mixed with various micro powder additives and cement as binder. It is used as a protective lining for blast furnace and hot blast stove shell, and a working lining for blast furnace head, gas outlet pipe and dust collector.
The fire-resistant spray coating is a kind of fire-resistant mixture which is sprayed with a whirlwind jet. It is composed of refractory aggregate, refractory powder, water, binder, mineralizer, plasticizer and burning aid. Spray coating material with silicon aluminum, magnesium, and phosphate corundum quality etc..

The technical characteristics of the refractory spray paint:

The fire-resistant spray coating is constructed with the spraying method. The material mix ratio, the spraying operation, the rebound rate and the dressing process are as follows. The mixture ratio of spray coating should meet the following requirements: to achieve the required strength, less springback, less spray dust, good adhesion and no blockage of the pipeline. When the cement binder is used for dry or semi dry spraying, the amount of cement is about 20% ~ 25% of the total material. When the cement is too much, the amount of dust increases when the spray is sprayed, and the shrinkage of the spray coating increases after the hardening.

Refractory spray coating is an amorphous refractory material constructed by mechanical spraying using pneumatic tools. It is composed of refractory aggregate, powder, binder (or external agent). Since the cement and aggregate and other component materials are repeatedly impacted during the spraying process to compact the sprayed materials, the sprayed coating has good density and mechanical strength. Spraying construction actually combines transportation, pouring or tamping into one process, without or only requiring a single-sided template. The process is simple, efficient, and has a wide range of adaptability.

According to the volume density of the material, refractory spray coatings are divided into light spray coatings (0.5~1.3g/cm3), medium and heavy spray coatings (1.3~1.8g/cm2) and heavy spray coatings (>1.8g/cm3). Light spray coatings are often used as thermal insulation, medium and heavy spray coatings can be used as thermal insulation linings and working linings of low and medium temperature furnaces, while heavy spray coatings are generally mainly used as working linings. According to the order of adding water (or solution) and the amount of water used, there are three types of spray coatings: wet, semi-dry and dry. The wet method is to mix the spray material into mud before spraying; the semi-dry method is to wet the spray coating first, press it to the nozzle and then add the remaining water (or solution); the dry method uses all the water (or solution) added at the nozzle. Among them, the semi-dry method is the most commonly used.
