
Steel fiber thermal shock resistant castables are made of corundum, silicon carbide, and super-grade dead-burned bauxite as the main raw materials, with ultra-fine powder, composite admixtures, and heat-resistant steel fibers. It has the characteristics of high early medium temperature strength, good high temperature performance, stable volume, strong thermal shock resistance, slag permeability and erosion resistance, erosion resistance, convenient construction, and strong integrity of the lining structure.
The heat-resistant steel fiber used in the steel fiber thermal shock resistant castable is shaped like a boat-shaped sagger, with a cross-section of 0.2mmx1.0mmm and a length of 20mm, 25mm, 30mm and 35mm; the grades of heat-resistant steel fiber are divided into 330, 310, 304, 446 and 430 according to the international heat-resistant steel fiber grades, and the steel grades similar to the national standard (GB) are 1Cr15Ni36W3Ti, 1Cr25Ni20Si2, 1Cr18Ni9, 1Cr25Si2 and 1Cr18Si2. The addition of 1%~5% heat-resistant steel fiber can achieve the effect of strengthening and toughening the thermal shock resistance.
The heat-resistant steel fiber used in steel fiber thermal shock resistant castables should be selected according to the use conditions of thermal equipment and its appropriate dosage should be determined. Its preparation process: first weigh the refractory aggregate, powder, binder and admixture, and dry mix for 1 minute; then add water for wet mixing, and evenly sprinkle the steel fiber into the material without agglomeration; finally mix for 1 minute before discharging. The total mixing time shall not be less than 5 minutes. When using a vibrating rod for molding, the vibration direction should be staggered to make the steel fiber distribution direction reasonable, which can improve the performance.
The performance of steel fiber refractory castables tested at medium and low temperatures, such as thermal shock resistance and mechanical impact resistance, are significantly improved compared to those without steel fiber.
The product is made of high-quality artificial synthetic materials as the main raw materials, and is combined with high-quality composite binders and ultra-fine powders. The product has the characteristics of excellent thermal shock stability, high refractoriness and high strength.
Steel fiber thermal shock resistant castable has high strength, good toughness, strong thermal shock resistance and good spalling resistance, and has been used in key parts of kilns and thermal equipment such as heat treatment furnaces, heating furnaces, soaking furnaces, tundish slag retaining weirs, external refining and catalytic cracking units, and has achieved good technical and economic results.
