Pressed-in repair material is a paste or slurry amorphous refractory material constructed by extrusion method, also known as pressed material. It is composed of refractory aggregate, powder, binder and admixture, and water or liquid binder is added to mix when used.
Pressed-in materials include: high-alumina, alumina (corundum), aluminum-magnesium, aluminum-carbon, magnesium-carbon refractory press-in materials, etc. The raw materials used for high-alumina refractory press-in materials are high-alumina aggregate and high-alumina powder, and the binder is mainly calcium aluminate cement, sodium silicate, etc. Add an appropriate amount of admixture. After adding 10% to 15% water and mixing evenly, the press-in construction can be carried out.
Alumina (corundum) refractory press-in materials are composed of corundum fine aggregate, corundum powder, pure calcium aluminate cement and admixtures, and 10% to 12% water is added to mix.
Aluminum-magnesium refractory injection material is prepared by adding an appropriate amount of fused magnesia powder or sintered magnesia powder to alumina refractory injection material. Since aluminum-magnesium injection material forms magnesia-aluminum spinel during use, it has good high-temperature mechanical properties and slag corrosion resistance.
The raw materials used for aluminum-carbon refractory injection material are high-aluminum (or clay) fine aggregate, high-aluminum (or clay) powder and carbon materials. The binder is liquid phenolic resin. Refractory injection material is mainly used in blast furnace body, hot spots of rotary kiln lining, RH soil riser and top and bottom combined STB converter small furnace bottom, converter tapping port, etc. Blast furnace body injection repair generally uses aluminum-silicon and high-aluminum refractory injection material, and cement rotary kiln uses high-aluminum refractory injection material.

Once refractory lining of blast furnace, rotary kiln etc,is damaged, hot spots on the steel shell will appear. Several holes on the hot spots can be made,on which nozzles are fixed.New lining will be formed,as repairing materials are injected in the damaged areas.
