Steel fiber reinforced castables are castable refractory materials made with aluminate cement as a binder, refractory aggregate, powder, admixtures and stainless steel fibers. (See refractory castables) The steel fiber content is 0.6% to 2.5%. This castable has the characteristics of good integrity at high temperatures, strong wear resistance and thermal shock resistance, and is suitable for special parts with mechanical vibration, thermal shock, wear and other special parts at high temperatures. Stainless steel fibers also have a reinforcing effect on the high-temperature working area of ​the furnace lining, mainly to improve the toughness, mechanical impact resistance and thermal shock resistance of the castable, thereby increasing the overall service life of the furnace lining.

Steel fiber reinforced castables are used in aluminum melting furnaces, industrial kilns and other places. Among them, corundum steel fiber wear-resistant castables are made of bauxite clinker as aggregate, bauxite clinker and corundum fine powder as matrix, ultrafine powder and other composite materials as binders and additives, and stainless steel heat-resistant fiber. The addition of stainless steel fiber increases strength.

Steel fiber reinforced castables are hydraulic refractory castables made of clinker corundum as aggregate and powder, with appropriate heat-resistant stainless steel fiber and trace additives. They have the characteristics of resistance to rapid cooling, rapid heating, strength, high temperature resistance, impact resistance, thermal shock resistance, and wear resistance.

 

 

In addition to the conventional high-temperature erosion resistance, steel fiber reinforced castables have a certain amount of heat-resistant stainless steel fibers added to their ingredients to prevent the expansion difference between the aggregate and the matrix in the material under high temperature, and the stress caused by the temperature gradient change when starting and stopping the furnace, which may cause the furnace wall to be damaged. At the same time, due to the addition of steel fibers, the overall strength of the furnace wall is enhanced after the material is cast.
