Low cement refractory castable is developed on the basis of clay-bonded refractory castable. Its main varieties include low cement, ultra-low cement, cement-free or ultra-fine powder and sol-bonded refractory castables. It combines the advantages of most refractory castables and has the characteristics of high density, low porosity, high strength, low wear, thermal shock resistance and erosion resistance.
The outstanding characteristics of low cement refractory castable are compactness and high strength, which brings benefits to use, but brings troubles to baking, that is, improper baking. It is easy to peel off or burst. Therefore, for the baking of high-aluminum low cement refractory castable, it is necessary to formulate a reasonable furnace curve and use excellent explosion-proof admixtures, so that the moisture in the castable molding body can be smoothly removed without causing any side effects.
