Anchor bricks are refractory bricks with a specific shape. Anchor bricks are refractory bricks that play a stabilizing role. They can also be called hanging bricks. They are usually made of clay or high-alumina refractory materials. They are mainly used for installation on the shell of industrial kilns or steel structures supporting the lining of furnaces, and are buried in the refractory lining to play the role of anchors and links.
Its design and use are aimed at improving the stability and safety of industrial furnaces. They are often used in industrial equipment such as heating furnaces to enhance the fixation and durability of refractory materials.
It is a hanging brick and anchor for anchoring castables. It has a cylindrical shape and is provided with an annular groove and a pin hole. The groove cross section matches the anchor hook and is wrapped around the anchor hook to increase the service life of the heating furnace. Anchors are divided into two categories: non-metallic and metal. Ceramic anchors include furnace wall anchor bricks, furnace roof hanging bricks and refractory fiber lining anchor nails.
It has the characteristics of light structure, high strength, good durability, excellent thermal insulation performance, convenient construction, and anchoring strength reaching more than 90% of steel bars. It is suitable for various lightweight walls and walls that are easy to renovate.

Anchor bricks are also called hanging bricks and anchors. Anchor bricks are a new type of anchor bricks for industrial kilns. The roof of an electric furnace is a roof structure supported by metal hanging bricks and refractory bricks. Therefore, the leakage of reactive gases and hot air in the furnace will damage the metal hanging parts, thereby causing the roof to collapse. The walls of industrial kilns and flues are composed of an inner lining, an insulation layer, and an outer wall layer. The inner lining is refractory bricks, and the outer wall is made of ordinary sintered bricks. These layers need to be connected and anchored, and the tensile and flexural strength of the anchor body is significantly improved. The stress generated at the groove is blocked at the ribs and cannot continue to be transmitted, so the anchor bricks of this structure are not easy to break.

 

 

Notes on anchor brick masonry:

1. When laying bricks, carefully apply mud from both sides to prevent gas leakage from the furnace top.

2. The hanging part of the anchor brick should not be damaged (the role of hanging metal parts should be played)

3. Ensure the size of the masonry joints, carry out top masonry, and correctly determine the role of hanging metal parts.

4. An expansion joint should be properly left between the furnace body and the anchor brick

5. Air-hardened mud is generally used
