Silicon carbide brick is a refractory product with silicon carbide as the main raw material, and the silicon carbide content is usually between 80-85%. Its main raw material is black silicon carbide (SiC content is more than 96%), and sometimes a binder is added. It is made through processes such as batching, mixing, molding and firing. The main varieties of silicon carbide bricks include oxide-bonded silicon carbide bricks, carbon-bonded silicon carbide bricks, silicon nitride-bonded silicon carbide bricks, self-bonded silicon carbide bricks, recrystallized silicon carbide bricks and semi-silicon carbide bricks.

Characteristics of Silicon Carbide Bricks
High thermal conductivity: Silicon carbide bricks have high thermal conductivity and can transfer heat quickly.
Strong wear resistance: It has good wear resistance and can withstand large mechanical stress.
Thermal shock resistance: Silicon carbide bricks can also remain stable in environments with large temperature changes.
Corrosion resistance: It has good corrosion resistance to a variety of chemicals.
Application Areas
Nonferrous metal smelting: used in nonferrous metal smelting industry, such as ceramics, enamel, cement rotary kiln mouth, as well as glass annealing furnace and various high-temperature furnaces.
Blast furnace lining: used for blast furnace lining, aluminum electrolytic cell lining, glass tank, structural ceramics, sanitary ceramics, household ceramics.
Industrial ceramics: used for industrial ceramic bearing plates, combustion back plates, push plates, troughs, annealing furnace hearth plates; linings of waste incinerators, heat treatment electric heating furnaces, soaking furnaces, etc.
High-tech ceramics: used for aluminum electrolytic cell linings, molten aluminum conduits and ceramic kiln kiln furniture, the lower part of large and medium-sized blast furnaces, furnace waists and belly, aluminum refining furnace linings, zinc distillation tank linings, etc.
Chemical industry: used for oil and gas generators, organic waste combustion furnaces.
Silicate industry: used for shelf plates and flame insulation materials for silicate industrial kilns.
Precautions for use
Moisture-proof: Silicon carbide absorbs water, so it should be placed in a dry environment for a few days before use to ensure that it will not be damp.
Dust-proof: Silicon carbide is easily affected by dust and fine particles, which will damage its surface and performance. Therefore, silicon carbide should be kept away from dust or other fine particles during storage and use.
Shockproof: Silicon carbide is a fragile material and should be avoided from collision and vibration during transportation and use.
Avoid long-term contact with moisture and strong acid and alkali substances: Although silicon carbide is acid and alkali resistant, long-term contact with moisture and strong acid and alkali substances will deteriorate its quality, thus affecting the use effect.
