Polycrystalline Mullite Fiberboard

Polycrystalline Mullite Fiberboard

Polycrystalline mullite fiberboard is a kind of heat-insulating refractory material, the main component of which is mullite, a mineral with 3Al2O3•2SiO2 as the main component. Polycrystalline mullite fiberboard has a high Al2O3 content, usually between 70% and 80%, which makes it have good high temperature resistance and thermal insulation performance. This material has a wide range of applications in industry, especially in fields that need to withstand high temperature environments, such as metallurgy, chemical industry, ceramics and other industries. Due to its excellent thermal insulation and fire resistance, it is widely used in the thermal insulation layer of various high-temperature equipment, such as high-temperature furnaces, chimneys, pipelines, etc., to protect the safety of equipment and personnel. In addition, due to its good chemical stability and corrosion resistance, it is also suitable for some corrosive environments, such as acid and alkali environments.
It is a super high temperature resistant fiberboard, with the highest temperature resistance up to 1900℃ and density up to 600kg/m3. It is a wet vacuum suction filtration pressure forming, made of loose cotton plus organic and inorganic binders. The product has a hard texture and excellent strength, anti-scouring, and easy processing and cutting. Its raw material is refractory fiber, with stable chemical properties, so it is light in weight, has good thermal insulation effect, and meets various high temperature requirements. The product can directly contact the flame and high temperature airflow, is resistant to scouring, has low thermal conductivity, can effectively extend the life of the kiln and improve production efficiency. It is used in various kiln linings (heating furnaces, heat treatment furnaces, shuttle kilns, tunnel kilns, etc.); furnace doors, furnace covers, high temperature filtration, sealing pads; lining insulation of high temperature industrial kilns and other thermal equipment such as metallurgy, machinery, electronics, ceramics, chemicals, glass, aerospace and military scientific research.

Product Description

Polycrystalline mullite fiberboard is white, smooth, soft and elastic. The microstructure is composed of mullite microcrystals. Mullite is a relatively stable compound with weak recrystallization ability, that is, during the heating process, mullite microcrystals are not easy to aggregate and grow, which is beneficial to maintaining the strength of mullite fiber. The shrinkage rate of the heating line is low.

Polycrystalline mullite fiberboard is formed by wet vacuum filtration and pressure, and is made of loose cotton plus organic and inorganic binders. Polycrystalline mullite fiberboard has excellent strength, anti-scouring, and easy processing and cutting. Its raw material polycrystalline refractory fiber has stable chemical properties, light weight, good thermal insulation effect, and is a widely used high-temperature insulation product. Polycrystalline mullite fiberboard can be used on the hot surface of the furnace lining to effectively resist high-temperature airflow and direct impact of flames.
