
Lightweight fiber Refractory Castable is generally applied to furnace roof,furnace wall, funace door, inner wall of pipeline and other parts of industrial furaces and kilns, for heat preservation and heat insulation. Lightweight refractory fiber castables are made of refractory fiber as aggregate or filler, chemical binders and additives. They have the characteristics of low thermal conductivity and a service temperature of 1000~1300℃. They are ideal lining materials for medium and low temperature thermal equipment such as heat treatment furnaces and petrochemical tubular heating furnaces. They should be vigorously promoted to change the appearance of kilns.
Lightweight refractory fiber castables are simple to prepare and can be cast or manually applied. They can also be made into prefabricated blocks for use.

In recent years, the steel ladle has adopted insulation technology and developed rapidly. Refractory castables with a bulk density of 1.8~2.0g/cm3 have been developed. They have good high temperature performance. In case the ladle working lining is damaged or burned through, they can also resist the erosion of a bag of molten steel and ensure smooth casting. In essence, it is still an ordinary refractory castable, but some porous clinker is added, and the bulk density is somewhat reduced. In addition, there are porous lightweight refractory castables produced with foaming agents and chemical aerating agents. Generally, there are more finished products and less on-site construction.
