Hydrophobic Water Glass Perlite Products

The production process of hydrophobic water glass perlite thermal insulation products is to mix 10 parts (volume ratio) of CITIC expanded perlite with 1 part of water glass (sodium fluorosilicate or nepheline aminopyrine mixed with 10% of the water glass mass) and then press into shape (compression ratio 2~2.5) and dry. At the same time, add water to the organic silicon solution with a solid content of 30% to make a 0.8% dilute solution. The hydrophobic water glass perlite thermal insulation product can be taken out after being immersed in the solution for a few minutes. The method is used to produce CITIC hydrophobic expanded perlite. About 10kg of organic silicon solution is required for each cubic meter, and the product is finally dried. The production of this waterproof product is to mix the hydrophobic agent directly into the water glass, pressurize and form it once and dry it (at a constant temperature of 400℃ for 2h) to obtain the finished product. The technical properties of hydrophobic water glass perlite insulation products are: bulk density <300kg/m3; compressive strength 1.0Mpa; thermal conductivity at room temperature 0.056~0.07W/(m·K); after immersion in water for 30min and 8 days, the water absorption rate of hydrophobic water glass perlite insulation products is 2% and 31.4% respectively, while the water absorption rate of ordinary water glass products under the same conditions is 157% and 187% respectively.
