
The anti seepage castable for aluminum melting furnaces is formulated primarily from high-alumina bauxite clinker and powder, with pure calcium aluminate cement as the binder, and additives such as aluminum powder, kyanite, shrinkage inhibitors, and explosion-proof fibers.It can be cast to form a monolithic lining or manufactured into precast blocks for masonry construction.
The finished material made from this anti-seepage castable has a bulk density higher than that of molten aluminum and magnesium vapor, as well as low porosity, which effectively prevents the penetration of magnesium vapor.
Its high strength and low wear index help prevent lining damage caused by alloy additions. In addition, its excellent thermal shock resistance enables it to withstand the thermal stress generated by rapid heating and cooling.
In aluminum melting furnaces, anti seepage castable refractories are typically used to cast the anti-seepage layer at the furnace bottom (i.e., the layer below the brickwork or castable working lining) to prevent molten aluminum leakage.
