
The advantages of high-strength mullite lightweight castables as coke drum linings are:
1) Low thermal conductivity, which can well meet the use requirements of coke drum linings, reduce the heat loss of red coke, reduce external heat radiation, and be more heat-insulating and energy-saving.
2) Good wear resistance can effectively reduce the wear of red coke due to the scouring and friction between the rotational motion and the coke drum lining. Avoid the blockage of the sealing valve caused by the lining falling off, and improve the safety of the coke quenching condition.
3) High compressive strength, effectively alleviate the gravity of the lower cone section of the red coke for coke drums.
4) The service life of the furnace lining made of lightweight refractory castables is generally longer than that of alloy linings, and the maintenance cost is also much lower, saving economic costs and significantly improving benefits.
