Phosphate-bonded high-alumina wear-resistant brick is a high-performance refractory material with excellent thermal stability, wear resistance and chemical corrosion resistance. (Abbreviated as phosphate brick, brand name P), it uses a 42.5% to 50% phosphoric acid solution as a binder, and the aggregate is alumina clinker calcined in a rotary kiln at above 1600°C. During use, phosphoric acid reacts with the brick surface burnt alumina fine powder and refractory clay, and finally forms a refractory brick with cristobalite aluminum orthophosphate as the main binder.
Its main raw materials include heavy dense high-aluminum aggregate or first-grade bauxite clinker, ‌ using phosphoric acid or aluminum phosphate solution as a binding agent, ‌ pressed by a semi-dry machine, and heated at 400~600℃ Treated to form a chemically bonded refractory article. ‌This kind of brick is a non-fired brick, ‌that is, it will not burn during use at high temperatures. ‌In order to prevent products from shrinking too much at high temperatures, ‌kyanite, ‌sillimanite, ‌pyrophyllite, ‌silica and other heat-expandable raw materials are added to the ingredients. ‌The load softening temperature of phosphate bonded high alumina bricks increases, ‌porosity decreases, ‌volume density increases, and ‌flexural strength increases significantly. The use of ‌phosphate (‌or phosphoric acid)‌ can significantly improve the performance of high alumina bricks. quality, ‌ extend its service life.
This kind of brick is mainly used for calcining cement, bauxite, dolomite and other rotary kilns, the lining of coolers, the working layer of cement vertical kilns, the top of steelmaking electric furnaces and other parts; due to the product's high high temperature strength, good thermal shock resistance, strong wear resistance, easy to hang kiln skin and other characteristics, some cement plants use it in the firing zone and transition zone of small rotary kilns.

Phosphate-bonded high-alumina wear-resistant bricks refer to phosphate-bonded high-alumina wear-resistant bricks for kilns that are made of high-alumina bauxite clinker as aggregate and fine powder, phosphoric acid or aluminum phosphate as binder, semi-dry pressing, heat treatment at 400℃~600℃, and semi-dry chemical bonding.

The products are divided into two varieties according to the binder:

(I) Phosphate-bonded high-alumina wear-resistant bricks, the binder is a phosphate solution with a concentration of 42.5% to 50.0%, codenamed P, and the lock-seam brick is codenamed PC.

(II) Phosphate-bonded high-alumina wear-resistant bricks, the binder is industrial phosphoric acid, and the aluminum phosphate solution prepared by industrial aluminum hydroxide, the molar ratio is Al2O3: P2O5=1:3.2, codenamed PA. Phosphate-bonded high-alumina wear-resistant bricks have high strength at high temperatures, medium kiln skin hanging ability, high thermal conductivity, and good thermal shock stability. In the commissioning stage, when the number of kiln opening and stopping is large, it shows good performance.

 

 

Phosphate-bonded high-alumina wear-resistant bricks are used in the preheating zone, high temperature zone and tuyere bricks of rotary kilns and vertical kilns for cement industry. The product has high strength, strong wear resistance, good thermal shock resistance, and is suitable for all types of cement kilns with good use effect.
