Refractory Castables for Industrial Waste Rotary Kiln

The rotary kiln is one of the key equipment in the waste incineration process. Its lining is usually built with shaped refractory bricks or cast as a whole with refractory castables.
The corundum mullite refractory materials developed by our company, corundum mullite bricks and corundum mullite castables have strong corrosion resistance. The CaO, SiO2 and AL2O3 in the slag react to form calcium feldspar phase. The newly generated calcium feldspar phase can fill the pores and promote the density of the matrix, which can well hinder the penetration of slag. Compared with aluminum-chromium silicon carbide refractory bricks or castables, the anti-penetration performance is relatively poor.
According to the corundum mullite refractory materials, corundum mullite bricks and corundum mullite castables developed by our company, performance, economy and environmental protection are taken into consideration. When the temperature of the waste incineration rotary kiln lining is about 1100℃, high-aluminum refractory bricks and high-aluminum composite wear-resistant castables can be used in combination according to the use location; when the temperature of the waste incineration rotary kiln lining is about 1300℃, corundum mullite refractory bricks or corundum mullite castable rotary kiln lining can be selected.
Our company's design adopts a masonry structure that is a composite of linear strips, multiple sections and castables. The significant advantages are:
(1) The kiln lining has better integrity;
(2) The casting density is better, which can better ensure the construction quality;
(3) No mold is required for construction, which is convenient to operate and more cost-saving;
(4) The construction period of a single kiln can be compressed to less than 30 days, greatly shortening the construction period.

The characteristics of refractory materials used in incinerators are usually required to be:

(1) High strength and good wear resistance to resist the wear of solid materials and the erosion of hot air flow (2) Good volume stability and acid resistance to resist the erosion of acidic substances in the furnace (3) Good shock resistance to resist the damage to the material caused by changes in furnace temperature (4) Good CO erosion resistance to avoid the collapse of the furnace lining due to CO erosion (5) Good facility performance (amorphous) (6) Good heat resistance and heat insulation. When selecting refractory materials, appropriate refractory materials should be selected according to the operating conditions of various types of incinerators and the performance of various refractory materials.

Different incinerators have different operating conditions and different internal use temperatures, so the performance of refractory materials required is also different. Therefore, refractory materials with different performance should be selected according to their working environment and use temperature.
