Mullite Refractory Clay

Mullite Refractory Clay

Mullite refractory mortar is a high-temperature refractory mortar made of mullite fine powder, corundum powder, and high-viscosity refractory powder as the main materials, with the addition of ultrafine powder, alumina powder, binder, admixture, and composite binder, additives and plasticizer. It also uses high-temperature chemical binders. The material is of high grade, high refractoriness, high strength, small shrinkage, tight joints, strong corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, wear resistance, and is easy to construct.

Mullite refractory mortar is composed of heavy and light refractory raw materials, binders and admixtures. It is a special mud for masonry insulation refractory products. The insulation refractory mortar uses light mullite or alumina insulation brick powder; the binder mainly uses aluminum phosphate, dextrin, water glass and polysaccharide starch, etc.; admixtures; plasticizers, expanders, ultrafine powders, etc. The gradation of insulation refractory mortar: >0.5mm, ≤0.074mm; composite soft clay powder, silica powder and ultrafine powder, plus binders and admixtures; the proportion of alumina insulation mortar: industrial alumina powder, high alumina insulation refractory brick powder, ultrafine powder, composite binder and admixture configuration, refractoriness>1790℃.

High temperature mullite mortar is a good refractory binder. Polysilicone gel-fireproof glue is an inorganic polymer binder formed by high temperature and high pressure polymerization of inorganic raw materials such as aluminum phosphate, magnesium silicate, sodium silicate, fire retardant, inorganic polymer polymerizer. Product features: excellent performance, plasticity, high refractoriness, high bonding strength, good resistance to physical and chemical erosion, and good thermal stability.

Because the insulating refractory mud contains lightweight aggregates, 1/2 of the water should be added to mix for a few minutes during stirring, and then the remaining water should be added to mix evenly. The total mixing time shall not be less than 20 minutes. The mixed mud should be left to stand for about 0.5 hours before use.

Application: Used for masonry of mullite insulation bricks, polylight bricks, clay bricks, special heavy bricks and high-aluminum heavy bricks, to prevent the invasion of air and hot air flow into gas, to prevent slag and molten metal from corroding brick joints, and to paste aluminum silicate fiber cotton, blankets, felt and polycrystalline mullite blocks.
