High Strength Lightweight Refractory Bricks

High Strength Lightweight Refractory Bricks

High-strength lightweight refractory bricks are made of porous high-alumina mullite, clay, and alumina as the main raw materials, aluminum fluoride and molybdenum oxide as whisker catalysts and sintering aids, respectively, and ρ alumina as a binder.
High-strength lightweight refractory bricks have the characteristics of high operating temperature, low thermal conductivity, and low re-burning line change rate. The application of this high-strength lightweight refractory brick in thermal equipment can reduce the volume of the thermal equipment masonry, reduce its weight, shorten the heating time, ensure uniform furnace temperature, reduce heat loss, save energy, improve operating conditions, and improve production efficiency.

The high-strength lightweight refractory bricks produced by our company are widely used as floor bricks for coking furnaces, carbon baking furnaces, glass pool furnaces, thermal insulation bricks for heat storage chambers, and various furnace projects and thermal equipment. As well as bricks for chimney flues in power plants, the bricks are machine-pressed and fired at high temperatures to have a regular appearance and high compressive strength.

High-strength lightweight refractory bricks This is a kind of thermal insulation material belonging to the pore type. Combustibles are added during blank making, and the combustibles are burned out during firing to form pores. The porosity of this material is 30-50%. It has good mechanical strength and corrosion resistance. It is used as a thermal insulation material in contact with refractory materials in pool furnaces.

High-strength lightweight refractory bricks are thermal insulation materials made of silicon-aluminum raw materials. Their chemical composition is amorphous silicon dioxide, and they contain about 20% clay and a small amount of impurities. Diatomaceous raw materials are the remains of ancient algae, which contain a large number of micropores and therefore have good thermal insulation properties. Its maximum operating temperature is 900℃. Diatomite will melt rapidly above this temperature. The melt will cause serious erosion to the refractory material.

High-strength lightweight refractory bricks The most commonly used lightweight bricks in various furnace projects and thermal equipment are clay and silica. For example, in the building material glass industry, the former is used to insulate the refractory material in contact with the glass liquid. The latter is used for the insulation of the upper structure of the melting pool. The upper structure of the material channel can be directly built with lightweight high-alumina bricks.
