Chrome-zirconium Corundum Brick

The main mineral composition of chrome-zirconium corundum bricks is α-Al2O3-Cr2O3 solid solution. The secondary mineral composition of chrome-zirconium corundum bricks is a small amount of composite spinel (or no composite spinel) and a refractory brick with a chromium oxide content of 1% to 30%. There are two types of fused-cast chrome-corundum bricks and sintered chrome-corundum bricks. Generally speaking, chrome-corundum bricks refer to sintered chrome-corundum bricks.

Chrome-zirconium corundum bricks are made of α-Al2O3 as raw material, with an appropriate amount of chromium oxide powder and chrome-corundum clinker fine powder added, formed, and fired at high temperature. The chromium oxide content of sintered chrome-corundum bricks is generally lower than that of fused-cast chrome-corundum bricks. It can also be prepared by mud casting method, mixing α-Al2O3 powder and chromium oxide powder evenly, adding debonding agent and organic binder to make thick mud, adding part of chrome corundum clinker, making bricks by grouting method, and then firing. It can be used as glass kiln lining, drawing glass flow hole cover bricks and used for molten iron pretreatment device, garbage incinerator, water-coal slurry pressurized gasification furnace backing, etc.
