Corundum mullite refractory plastic is a neutral, unformed refractory material composed of corundum and mullite aggregates, mullite powder, α-Al₂O₃ micro powder, clay, composite binder, and plasticizer. It has the consistency of a stiff clay paste, retains high plasticity for an extended period, and exhibits excellent high-temperature performance after setting.
Its typical application temperature range is 1300–1600 °C. In industrial use, it should be installed with metallic or non-metallic anchors; supports must be added after tamping to fully leverage the material's wear resistance and plasticity.

The production process of corundum mullite refractory plastic includes raw material crushing, screening, batching, mixing, extrusion, billet processing, packaging, and storage. Additional steps occur between mixing and extrusion, including a mud-trapping process. The pre-mixing process and equipment are largely the same as those used for refractory bricks.
During mixing, granular aggregates are added first, followed by water or other binders as needed to ensure even coating. After wetting, fine powders and additional binder are incorporated.

Corundum mullite refractory plastics are mainly composed of corundum and mullite, offering good wear resistance and thermal shock resistance. They also expand at high temperatures and provide excellent overall sealing properties.
They are suitable for lining gasifiers, industrial boilers, power plant boilers, circulating fluidized bed boilers, waste incinerators, and other high-wear furnace walls.
Corundum mullite enables rapid plastic repair, simple installation, and is ready-to-use without baking. When applied using a pulping machine, it utilizes a slurry-like unformed refractory material, making it an ideal choice for rapid repair and maintenance of high-wear furnace wall linings.

●After tamping the plastic refractory and removing the formwork, the material surface should be trimmed promptly. Before trimming, gently tap the plastic refractory around the anchor brick ends with a rubber or wooden mallet to ensure a tight fit. Remove excess material using the anchor brick face as a guide, and roughen the remaining surface.
●Before the repaired plastic furnace lining hardens, drill ventilation holes 4–6 mm in diameter on the heated surface. Arrange the holes in a grid pattern with 150–230 mm spacing, positioned between adjacent anchor bricks. The hole depth should be approximately 1/2 to 2/3 of the lining thickness.
●Provide surface expansion lines on the heated surface of the plastic furnace lining according to design specifications. If no design requirements exist, the lines may be arranged horizontally and vertically, with a width of 35 mm, depth of 50–80 mm, and spacing of 1–1.5 m.
