Alumina hollow ball castable is made of alumina hollow ball, corundum powder, calcined alumina powder, etc. as raw materials, through homogenization, molding, and high-temperature sintering. Alumina hollow ball castable has excellent high temperature resistance, thermal insulation performance, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, low thermal conductivity, good thermal insulation performance, low volume density and other characteristics. It is mainly used for the working lining and thermal insulation lining of various high-temperature kilns in industries such as ceramics, electric porcelain, grinding wheels, and refractory materials, and can be directly used for the working lining of high-temperature kilns.
The characteristics of alumina hollow ball castables are high refractoriness under load, high strength, good thermal insulation performance, and the operating temperature is generally 1600℃-1700℃. It is an ideal thermal insulation material for carbon black reactors and high-temperature special lining permanent layers.

Products Description
Alumina hollow ball castables are a new type of high-temperature thermal insulation material. It is made of industrial alumina by melting and blowing in an electric furnace. The crystal form is a-Al2O3 microcrystals. With alumina hollow balls as the main body, it can be made into products of various shapes. The maximum operating temperature is 1800℃. The products have high mechanical strength, which is several times that of general lightweight products, while the volume density is only half of that of corundum products. It has been widely used in high-temperature kilns such as petrochemical gasification furnaces, carbon black industrial reactors, and metallurgical induction furnaces, and has achieved very satisfactory energy-saving effects. Alumina hollow ball castable and its products are a kind of lightweight refractory material with excellent high temperature resistance and energy saving, which is very stable when used in various atmospheres. Alumina hollow ball castable is particularly suitable for use in high temperature kilns of 1300-1800℃. Hollow balls can be used as high temperature and ultra-high temperature insulation fillers, high temperature refractory concrete lightweight aggregates, high temperature castables, etc. Hollow ball bricks can be used in high temperature energy-saving (>30%) downdraft kilns, shuttle kilns, molybdenum wire furnaces, tungsten rod furnaces, induction furnaces, nitriding furnaces, etc. It will achieve obvious results in reducing the weight of the furnace body, modifying the structure, saving materials, and saving energy.
Application range Lining of high temperature kilns such as industrial ceramics, structural ceramics, electronic ceramics, petrochemicals, metallurgy, coal chemical industry, and thermal insulation materials for ultra-high temperature kilns
