Cast Alumina Bricks

Cast Alumina Bricks

Fused alumina brick is a high-temperature refractory material, which is made of alumina and other additives through high-temperature smelting. It has excellent properties such as high strength, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and high temperature resistance. It is mainly used in key parts such as the melting pool of glass melting furnaces, and other industrial fields that need to withstand high temperatures and chemical erosion. It is also widely used in the lining and thermal insulation layer of high-temperature kilns and reactors in metallurgy, chemical industry, electric power, building materials and other industries.
It has excellent high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and erosion resistance. This brick is mainly used in the industrial field, especially in those environments that need to withstand high temperature and chemical erosion. Its production process involves melting the mixed raw materials at high temperature and then casting them into a specific shape. It has the characteristics of high temperature resistance: corrosion resistance: uniform structure: high mechanical strength: energy saving and environmental protection.

Fused-cast alumina bricks are made by melting the batch of refractory raw materials at a temperature higher than the melting temperature of the materials, casting them in a prefabricated refractory model, and cooling and solidifying them to allow the crystal structure to grow and develop. They are called fused-cast refractory materials.

Fused-cast alumina bricks are oxide refractory materials made of alumina (Al2O3) with a purity greater than 99% using high-temperature ceramic process methods or other special process methods. The main crystal phase is α-Al2O₃ (also known as corundum), which is the most widely used and cheapest type of oxide refractory.

Fused-cast alumina refractory materials are made of industrial alumina as the main raw material, with a small amount of industrial soda ash, quartz sand or trace additives added to form the batch, which is melted at high temperature (2100~2300℃) in a three-phase electric arc furnace to form a homogeneous melt, which is then cast into a predetermined model and reasonably annealed to form a fused-cast alumina brick product.

Products Description

After the batch of refractory raw materials is melted at a temperature higher than the melting temperature of the material, it is cast into a prefabricated refractory mold, and the crystal structure is grown by cooling and solidification to form a product, which is called fused-cast refractory. Since fused-cast refractory has a series of excellent properties such as dense structure, high mechanical strength, resistance to glass erosion, and can produce products with larger sizes than general sintered bricks, the original purpose of fused-cast refractory is to improve the service life of glass industry melting furnaces and improve the quality of glass products. Until now, the main application scope of this type of products is still the glass manufacturing industry. Because improving the productivity of glass melting furnaces and producing highly uniform and high-purity glass products depends on the technical means to achieve the melting temperature of glass, it is crucial to use high-quality refractory materials. This is why fused-cast refractory is widely used in glass melting furnaces. At present, almost all parts of the melting furnace are built with fused-cast alumina bricks. Of course, depending on the different degrees of erosion in each part, the quality of the corresponding varieties is selected for matching use.
