Corundum Mullite Castable

Corundum-mullite castables are made of corundum and mullite as the main raw materials, with ultrafine powder, pure calcium aluminate cement and silica powder as binders, and mullite fine powder and admixtures to produce a high-density wear-resistant refractory castable with high wear resistance and good thermal shock resistance.

The refractory temperature of corundum-mullite castables can reach about 1800 degrees. It is generally used in the fire mouth and kiln mouth. It has certain strength and wear resistance. Mullite is added to the corundum castable. During use, it can effectively prevent the material from being stressed by extreme cold and heat, and has a good thermal shock resistance. The body density of mullite castables can reach about 2.7-2.8, and the service life is greatly improved.

 

Corundum-mullite castable has the common advantages of corundum castable and mullite castable; on the basis of the original, it improves the overall stability and refractoriness of the castable, has high high temperature strength, good resistance to thermal shock and structural spalling; has good thermal shock resistance, high load softening temperature, low high temperature creep rate, and good chemical corrosion resistance.

1. It has the common advantages of corundum refractory castable and mullite castable. The matrix part reacts in situ at high temperature to form mullite phase, which improves the high temperature hot strength and thermal shock stability of the cast lining, with high refractoriness and low air tightness.

2. It has the characteristics of high temperature resistance and high compressive strength. It can resist thermal shock and peeling at high temperature, and can maintain the stability of high temperature kiln.

3. It has the characteristics of high temperature strength and good volume stability. It can maintain the overall qualitative properties of the castable and the overall structure of the kiln under high temperature environment.

4. The load softening temperature is high, and the castable can maintain high strength and stability under high temperature environment.

5. It has excellent slag resistance and can effectively resist the erosion of molten materials.

6. It has strong corrosion resistance and can resist the erosion of corrosive raw materials on the kiln lining, increasing the service life of the kiln.

7. The high temperature creep rate is small, which can slow down the high temperature creep under high temperature environment and reduce the destructiveness of high temperature to the kiln.

Corundum-mullite castable is suitable for large CFB boilers and other high-temperature kiln linings. Corundum-mullite high-strength wear-resistant refractory castable is a kind of amorphous refractory material with high medium-temperature strength, good thermal shock resistance and erosion and wear resistance. It is also widely used in the lining of medium and high-temperature kilns in the steel, chemical, metallurgy, coal, power generation, and cement industries, such as tubular heating furnaces, light diesel, ethane cracking furnace linings, constant pressure reduction furnaces, sulfur recovery units, steam boilers, tortoise shell mesh insulation layers, two-vessel cylinders and pipeline insulation single layers in the chemical industry, other industrial furnace doors, fire-watching holes, observation hole door linings, large power station boiler anti-wear linings, gasification furnaces, circulating fluidized bed boiler linings and cement rotary kiln coal injection pipes and other high-temperature kiln linings.
