Steel fiber reinforced castables are hydraulic refractory castables made by adding appropriate heat-resistant stainless steel fibers and trace additives based on clinker corundum as aggregate and powder. Products Description

 

The heat-resistant steel fiber used in steel fiber reinforced castables is shaped like a boat-shaped sagger, with a cross-section of 0.2mmx1.0mmm and a length of 20mm, 25mm, 30mm and 35mm; the grades of heat-resistant steel fibers are divided into 330, 310, 304, 446 and 430 according to the international heat-resistant steel fiber grades, and the steel grades similar to the national standard (GB) are 1Cr15Ni36W3Ti, 1Cr25Ni20Si2, 1Cr18Ni9, 1Cr25Si2 and 1Cr18Si2. The addition of 1% to 5% heat-resistant steel fiber can achieve the effect of strengthening and toughening.

 

The heat-resistant steel fiber used in steel fiber reinforced castables should be selected according to the use conditions of thermal equipment and its appropriate dosage should be determined. Its preparation process: first weigh the refractory aggregate, powder, binder and admixture, dry mix for 1 minute; then add water for wet mixing, and evenly sprinkle the steel fiber into the material without agglomeration; finally mix for 1 minute before discharging. The total mixing time shall not be less than 5 minutes. When using a vibrating rod for molding, the vibration direction should be staggered to make the steel fiber distribution direction reasonable, which can improve the performance.

 

The performance of steel fiber reinforced castables tested at medium and low temperatures, such as thermal shock resistance and mechanical impact resistance, are significantly improved compared with those without steel fiber. However, in terms of 1400℃ high temperature flexural strength and slag resistance, steel fiber refractory castables are not as good as refractory castables without steel fiber.
