Chrome corundum bricks
Chrome-zirconium corundum series bricks are corundum refractory products containing Cr2O3. At high temperatures, Cr2O3 and Al2O3 form a continuous solid solution, so the high-temperature performance of chrome corundum products is better than that of pure corundum products. Chrome corundum bricks used in petrochemical gasification furnaces should be low in silicon, low in iron, low in alkali, high in purity, and have high density and strength. The Cr2O3 content of chrome corundum products, which are widely used, is mostly in the range of 9%~15%.
Performance Chrome-zirconium corundum series bricks have good high temperature resistance and slag corrosion resistance, especially better resistance to molten coal slag corrosion than low-silicon corundum bricks. Its slag corrosion resistance increases with the increase of Cr2O3 content. The physical and chemical properties of chrome corundum bricks (examples) are as follows: Al2O389.62%, Cr2O39.07%, SiO20.17%, FezO30.08%, K2O+Na2O 0.33%, bulk density 3.29g/cm3, apparent porosity 18%, room temperature compressive strength 88.8MPa, reburning line change (1600℃, 3h) -0.07%, load softening temperature greater than 1700℃.
Manufacturing process Chrome zirconium corundum series bricks use high-purity industrial alumina powder and high-purity chromium oxide as raw materials, accurately weigh and mix according to the designed proportion, fully finely mix and add a certain amount of binder, mix and knead evenly, and then press into rough pieces. After the rough pieces are dried, they are electrofused or calcined to make chrome corundum. Chrome corundum is crushed and sieved, and part of it is ground into fine powder. The granular material and fine powder are mixed according to the best grading, a certain amount of binder is added, and after being fully mixed, they are formed by a friction brick press or a hydraulic brick press. After the green body is dried, it is fired at 1800℃.
